As we move into fall, a few words about your home's curb appeal when selling your house.
This may surprise you, but keep it natural and keep it green.
We are not huge fans of running out and getting a lot of orange, yellow and brown, and bringing fall to your doorstep that way, after buying out catchy store displays.
Rather, think year-around. We love natural green plants, small vases, a natural door mat, and maybe a little dash of color in a vase or two. But keep your vessels and vases mostly white.
You'll find that home buyers view this look during fall as refreshing, versus a forced color palette. And you'll enjoy it too!
If you care to shake things up, consider adding a small vintage ladder on which to stack your small plants. You can paint it white and even (once dry, of course), run some steel wool over the paint. Then lightly varnish.
Just something to personalize a weekend antique shopping find. Don't spend a lot! $20 max.
Whatever you do, keep it simple and plain. It can be full, but keep the colors simple and clean.
And this look will also photograph great!
